I found a listing for Dorothy Dunn in the nursing registers.

She trained at Royal London Hospital 1934-1938 and was registered Nov 25 1938.

Have you done any lookups there? For Emmie to meet Dorothy it would need to be there in 1934. I did not find Emmie in the Nursing Registers. Maybe Emmie was cleaning staff at Royal London?
