Marriage of Joseph Mosedale
« on: Monday 31 August 15 15:58 BST (UK) »
I wonder if someone could help me with a marriage for Joseph please. He was born in 1732 in Yoxall.  I am fairly confident his wife is Sarah as my 4x great grandfather James is son of Joseph and Sarah.

Any help with this marriage and any other close family would be much appreciated as it gets more difficult the further back you go!

Thanks for the information.  I am revisiting this family after a couple of years and amongst a pile of paper and hand written notes I have a scribbled note
Joseph Mosedale married Sarah Ball, 1759, A. Bromley. Could these be the same people?  Not sure who A Bromley is though!

The marriage actually took place at St Nicholas, Abbots Bromley on 14 February 1759 - FindMyPast.

Banns of marriage between Joseph Mosedale of the parish of Yoxal (sic) and Sarah Ball of this parish were published 28 January, 4 and 11 February 1759.  Married by Banns 14 February 1759.  Joseph signed, Sarah made her mark.

Just looking for children of Joseph and Sarah.  There is a christening on 21 Oct 1759 of Edward in Abbots Bromley!

There are then several more but in Yoxall.  Is it possible that there are 2 different families? (Seems unlikely)

I thought Mosedale would be a fairly easy name to research, but I have found lots of families in the Yoxall, Hanbury, Newborough and Marchington areas, which all seem to be quite close.  I need some advice on how to organise myself in order to work out who is related to who.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
