James LYNCH marriage to Jane HEAVEY c 1864

I cannot seem to find this couple marrying in Ireland, Jane or Frances came from Meath, not sure where James came from, but they raised a family in Leixlip Co kildare.
I know they had a family of at least 8 , from Catherine(Kathleen) in 1869 to Anne in 1883.the family can be found on the census of 1901 & 1911 without husband James, who I think died in 1889.
But I cannot find a matching marriage entry, is the database used actually complete. Am I making an assumption that they were married just because they were likely to be Catholic.
Jane Heavey's bapt has been identified but her name is referred to as Frances on one of the baptisms of her children.

Civil registration of Catholic marriages started in 1864 so if they married in a Catholic church before that date there will be no civil record. Have you tried searching for a church record in the online Catholic Parish Registers?

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Yes the census and baptisms are that family.
There is a separate posting from about 3 years ago, where I established contact with an ancestor of one of the family, the Leixlip site with lists of household was very useful and did actually suggest that James had some of his siblings or relatives in Leixlip, as there was continuity of house occupation.
Having looked at the actual parish record this evening ( real surprise to find it on line) , sometimes the fathers name James appears to be a variant , unless the clerk emphasised the last loop of M of james. It looks fairly consistent with other forenames.
Sadly the specific record I was looking for, that of Kate or Kathleen from 30th Oct 1869 in Leixlip has a very poor quality scan of her name, the mothers name looks like Francisca, that was expected, as the birth cert says Frances.
Many thanks for your help, it seems the record of their marriage could possibly be somewhere, but then again possibly lost, if it is pre 1864.
