Peter Johnson-Connecticut
« on: Tuesday 01 September 15 03:54 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find information on Peter JOHNSON(c.1615-c.1650). He lived in Boston,Massachusetts until about 1638 when he sold his land and moved to Connecticut where he died. His wife was Elizabeth(I believe the surname to be COOKE)and one of their sons was Colonel Ebenezer JOHNSON. Ebenezer was buried in Derby,New Haven but I am unsure if his parents died in New Haven County or Fairfield County. Peter was apparently also called a Dutchman, but as to whether or not he really was Dutch,I can't find. Could someone help me with this?

Unfortunately I'm in Canada so I'm not able to go to the Fairfield Museum in person.(Peter's descendants emigrated to New Brunswick likely as Loyalists)I will see if there's any research I can find on the website, however. I have been able to find information on Ebenezer more easily, especially his grave. Thanks for your help in this matter,I'll have to keep plugging away and see what I can find.-Sarah

I could but in all likelihood they'd probably insist on my visiting in person. I'll try it anyway.-Sarah
