Information about a death in Partington, Cheshire
« on: Wednesday 02 September 15 10:19 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm hoping you could give some advice. I have just received a death certificate for my x5 great grandfather where it says he 'accidentally drowned' in Partington, Cheshire on the 26th January 1848. His burial record also has a note at the side saying 'deceased at Mill Bank'.

I was wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where, if possible, I could find out more about this.

Thank you for your time

Debbi

Hi Debbi and welcome to Rootschat...you could post his name and perhaps it may have been recorded in one of the newspapers on FindmyPast.

Thank you for replying Carol.

I have tried Find My Past, but with no luck unfortunately. I will be trying the local history library soon, but thought I'd ask for some advise on here first on what I should look for.

My x5 grandfathers name is Charles Hankinson, born 1799 in Altrincham, Cheshire and lived and died in Partington, Cheshire.

Thanks

Thank you for replying. I do have this record and I do know the Partington area. I'm really curious about what happened.
