Company quartermaster sergeant

I have looked at a few musters from the period and there was only one QMS - Quartermaster Sergeant - per battalion.

Thanks also to Ken and Suzi. Thomas Tovey doesn't really show up in any of the usual lists for military with the exception of this below (Canada, British Regiments of Service). I don't see any evidence of the 32nd in Mauritius at this time. The two witnesses of the marriage Mark Winder (Ann's father) and Adam Butterworth are both from the 82nd. I was hoping Adam was Thomas's friend but this seems unlikely.

Name:   Thos Tovey
Age:   19
Birth Date:   abt 1793
Birth Place:   Keynsburn, Somerset
Military Date:   22 Apr 1812
Unit:   32nd Foot Soldiers, 2nd Battalion

Ken was kind enough to help me find Mark Winder who was a Colour Guard and I know that Adam Butterworth was a  Quarter Master according to records that I have seen. So I think I can say Thomas wasn't in the 82nd. Knowing what this abbrv stands for should at least help me figure would a bit more about Thomas Tovey which is what I am trying to do. All of these comments are very helpful. Thanks!
