Hi - let us know what you are looking for.  It sounds as though you already have 1911 anyway, if you know he was head of household.

Anyway. Birth reg for Ernest Johnson Sadler is Dec qtr 1882 Great Ouseburn - see FreeBMD.

I have seen his name listed as the head of the household on familysearch but havent subscribed to any of the sites yet to get full access to records. Which is the best one? I am building my tree on ancestry so thought i might try that one.  Rosie...Im sure that the Ernest\Caroline marriage is the right one but i do have family saying he married a Rosemary. Ive looked and cant find any marriages that fit that so hoping that peoples memories are wrong. Ernest definately had a son called Arthur born around 1906.
