George Frew born 1762

I have come across several sources that claim that George Frew, born 1762, Falkirk, was the son of
John Frew/ Elizabeth Cheeslie. One source claims that George married Rachel Ronald 1788, Falkirk. The other claims that George married Janet Baird 1793, Edinburgh.
Both couples had large families: George/ Rachel Ronald, in Falkirk; George/ Janet Baird in Old Monkland.
There is only one George Frew to be found in OPR births in Scotlands People between 1750-70; he was born 1762. I have been unable to determine which George was actually the son of John Frew/ Elizabeth Cheeslie, although it appears likely that it was the George who married Rachel Ronald. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might be able to shed some light on this problem.

Nothing concrete here, but have you looked for a pattern in the children’s names?  Unfortunately neither couple appear to have had a daughter named Elizabeth, but George & Rachel are the only ones to have a first born son named John.
