Lots of details on the earlier thread as well as several suggestions for further research. Have you followed through on everything there to see if you can find a record of the marriage?

Hi Agha and HallMark:)

Thanks for your replies...Oops forgot to check my earlier Postings re this
Have Looked up and emailed those sites u suggested re this ...Nothing
Our dilemma is....The marriage Between a John Clendinnen and mary Charlotte Robson we found in 1813 Listed in ossory...also underneath another marriage listed in 1816   Between a Mary Cecelia Robson and a john Swayne in 1816 In Ossory

Now there was we think a child of John Clendinnen and Mary Charlotte clendinnen  called Cecelia who Married we think a John Swayne, with children born in wexford between 1816 and 1838

Now we wondering who this John Clendinnen is who married the Mary charlotte Robson in 1816??

Is he connected??
And the john Clendinnen the reverend who Apparently Married a Mary Charlotte ?Ellis, a date given according to a Wesleyan researcher, tho he couldn't remember where he found it...Of 2 march 1804   He was stationed in Manorhamilton then...2 of his sons William(my lot) and john were Born 1804/1805 in bandon and skibbereeen cork Apparently, where he was stationed, We think maybe other children
descendants of this lot had the Middle name of ellis too
So maybe The ellis comes from Rev John Clendinnens Mothers side

On a death cert In Victoria Australia For the son of John Clendinnen (the Preacher) It stated Mothers Surname Supposedly Ellis, but no proof
So where to go from here?
Thanks for any help or suggestions re this lot

Not sure that this makes any sense-
....The marriage Between a John Clendinnen and mary Charlotte Robson we found in 1813 Listed in ossory...also underneath another marriage listed in 1816   Between a Mary Cecelia Robson and a john Swayne in 1816 In Ossory
Now there was we think a child of John Clendinnen and Mary Charlotte clendinnen  called Cecelia who Married we think a John Swayne, with children born in wexford between 1816 and 1838...

If, and this is still a big if, John Clendennin and Mary Charlotte (possibly Ellis) married in 1802 then it's unlikely that your John Clendennin married another Mary Charlotte.

If Cecilia Clendennin, a daughter of John & Mary Charlotte, married in 1816 then it's unlikely her parents married in 1802.

"The marriage Between a John Clendinnen and mary Charlotte Robson we found in 1813 Listed in ossory"
Where did you find this marriage? where did it take place? (the only Ossory I can think of at the moment is a R.C. diocese which covers most of Co.Kilkenny and a bit of Laois & Offaly).

What is the basis of this? "Now there was we think a child of John Clendinnen and Mary Charlotte clendinnen  called Cecelia who Married we think a John Swayne, with children born in wexford between 1816 and 1838"

Found 4 Marriages via FindMyPast(Find My Past)
Public Record Office of Ireland  Marriage Licence Bonds , Diocese of Ossory
Robson
Charlotte Robson and Noble Spring...1786
Mary Cecelia Robson and John Swayne..1818
Mary Charlotte Robson and John Clendinnen..1813
Middleton Robson and Mary charlotte crane... 1797

These Clendinnens and swaynes were Wesleyan Or church of Ireland
If This is our john Clendinnen , Would not it state he was a Rev on That marriage Listing?
seems like then he may have married Twice....First to a Mary Ann Possibly Ellis? But as stated that marriage Was only found thru a Wesleyan researcher, But didn't recall where he found it...And it was surmised that her last name was ellis Due to the fact Several of their Grandchildren and descendants Had the Middle Name of ellis

Then Maybe this Second marriage to Mary Charlotte Robson in 1813...No idea if any children to them, haven't found any as yet

Or can we locate a Death of a Mary Ann Clendinnen between 1805 and 1813
The family were in Newtownbarry Wexford and Cavan etc in that time period

And Mary Cecelia Robson Who married John Swayne in 1818...There was a Child Called Anna Cecelia Swayne she was born according to 1841 census(In Bideford Devon) circa 1831 in newtownbarry wexford...and on 1841 she was listed with her grandparents john Clendinnen (80) Wesleyan Minister Born Coi down and Mary C Clendinnen (72) born co Wexford

also A sister Mary Charlotte Swayne Born 1822 in Wexford and on her Marriage to a Thomas Brend in 1846 In Devon   John Clendinnen The minister was listed as a witness

On both Mary Charlotte and Anna Cecilia Swaynes Marriages Father listed as John Swayne

Not sure if this is the one the OP is looking for... he was in M/hamilton, and all over the place!!

IF it is him then there will be very little for him in M/hamilton and that church has been closed a long long time!

This still all doesn't fit together too well  :-\

John Swayne was the father (let's presume) of-
1. Mary Charlotte Swayne (b.1822 Wexford) m.(1846 Devon) Thomas Brend
2. Anna Cecilia Swayne (c1831 Newtownbarry)

You said there were other children but I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible. The link to John Clendennin makes sense (Anna is with him in 2 census returns), etc.
Then there's this bond (not actual marriage record)- Mary Cecelia Robson and John Swayne..1818
Date of possible marriage seems to fit with children born, fairly uncommon name Cecilia used for Anna's middle name... but how do you explain surname as Robson not Clendennin?
Then there's the surname Ellis (no proof that John Clendennin married an Ellis has come to light so far as I read).
