Hi the 1910 voyage to Cape was a Clerk, the 1903 voyage to Durban was a Plasterer (along with others in associated trades), in both cases no place of birth shown.

Hi I've found a death for a James McHolm 1944 spouse Jean Orr on www.ancestor.co.za Can anyone do a look up to see if more info is given. My James would be 64/65. Many thanks

Hi. This is getting confusing now! Found an incoming passenger list to Southampton for J McHolm on ancestry.co.uk. Wonder if it's the same one that went to South Africa in 1903. Perhaps he went back in 1910. Can anyone unravel this mystery for me....please! Haven't got subscription for them, is there any other info on this list? Thanks

Hi really feel for you, it must be so frustrating  :) The J Mcholm arriving Southampton from Durban on 21st August 1909 on Vessel Saxon was a Policeman?

Thanks keyboard86, so much for my theory! Back to the drawing board I think.
