Just a few comments-

Albert's death certificate states he was 60 years in 1892. Conflict here on the date of his birth [between 1832 -1836]
4 years is not much of a difference, especially at a time when most people probably didn't know their exact date of birth. Even into the 1900s people's ages often varied more than 10 years between each census.

Thank you Ros, I have seen this notice before & it turned out Richard's parents names were different. I thought we were on a winner too.
Don't discount this too soon. There probably weren't that many Albert Caldbecks from Co. Laois in Australia at the time and the newspaper notice does not say that Richard is Albert's brother or even say how they might be related.

Easily possible to give birth at that age.

Hi OP

What did Albert work at ?

The Ballacolla family were high profile and this William's children appear to have made 'good' marriages.

Was Albert in this same 'league' as it were ?

IF your Albert was the Maryborough person this is a different scenario.

Maryborough had a high military presence so Albert may have been from a military family just passing through.

Have you looked for him in the UK ?
