Mapping relatives
« on: Sunday 13 September 15 10:20 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know if there is a programme on which you can map relatives? I am ok with some branches of the family but when it comes to London and Manchester parishes I have to look at maps all the time to see how close one person was to another etc.

I suppose I'm hoping for a computer equivalent of a huge map of the parishes of the British Isles into which I could stick 'pins' as we don't have the wall space!

RootsMagic has a mapping feature.

They also sell a stand-alone piece of software - http://www.rootsmagic.com/family-atlas/

Thankyou,

I shall look into that. It is important though that it breaks down to at least individual parishes in UK. Is there anyone out there who has used/is using this  programme?

Cheers

Thankyou Bob,

I shall have a good read through these. I have also e-mailed the makers of the programme mentioned by KGarrad for more specific details.

Cheers

StevieSteve,

Thankyou for this, I'm apologise for not replying earlier but somehow I missed it.
