There is no birth showing on freebmd for any Alastair or Gordon Murray born in 1919 or 1920 in Hampshire, or any Alastair G Murray anywhere (with or without mother's maiden name:

Are you sure he was from Bournemouth - or were his parents just living there at the time of his death?

Was his father Alexander William Gordon Murray?

Added:
This grave, so could have been born anywhere (Scotland?) and just livingin Bournemouth:

OK, this marriage for parents:
Marriages June quarter  1919
Winifred M Harrison   Wolstanton    6b   315
Alexander W G Murray     Wolstanton    6b   315

There is a birth for a Doreen Murray in 1920 in Wolstanton.

If you are trying to research the family you could get her birth certificate, and the parents' marriage certificate.

There is a birth for a Winifred Mary in Wolstanton, not Winifred May.   So for consideration:

Births September quarter 1902
Winifred Mary Harrison        Wolstanton    6b   150

But there is a birth for a Winifred May P in New Forest, so also for consideration:
Births June quarter  1900
 Winifred May P Harrison        N. Forest    2b   689

Hi,

The info given here gives a DOB, 31st August 1920, but not unfortunately where he was born,

There is a birth for an Alastair Murray in Edinburgh in 1920 - worth following up?
