Domenico Antonio Marino
« on: Thursday 17 September 15 23:10 BST (UK) »
Hi all
just a bit of speculation on a name connection
Vincent Pacelli and wife Mary Rose Savino arrived in Scotland some time in the 1880s
Vincents parents were Giuseppe Rosario Pacelli and Benedetta MARINO.
Vincents son Francis Pacelli was born 1868 in Marsicovetere.
Vincent and Mary Rose were in Dublin for 1901 and 1911 census
1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Trinity/Brunswick_St__Great__Part_/1309640/
1911
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Trinity_Ward/Brunswick_Street__Great_/88615/

Domenico MARINO lived in St Giles at the same time as the Pacelli's,he also came to Dublin for 1901 and 1911 census and said he also was born in Marsicovetere,Italy
1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Mansion_House/King_Street_South/1343012/
1911 he has his son born 1880 Scotland,Michael Jones Marino staying with him.
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Mansion_House/King_Street__South/100516/
Domenico died in Dublin 1913 and is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery
his Will index
http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/reels/cwa/005014918/005014918_00226.pdf
which names Michael Marino and a  Christina Marino as admistrators.
There is another Marino family with father missing living in Dublin in 1911 all born Scotland except the youngest child born Dublin Francis Marino
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FBLL-96B mothers maiden name Fulham.
1911
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/North_Dock/Gardiner_Street__Lower/31866/
Michael Jones Marino married Annie Scott on 16th July 1912 in Dublin South and stayed here raised a family and died in 1960.

A Christina Marino married George Nuttman 4th Aug 1913 in Dublin South they dont appear to have stayed in Ireland and George Nuttman does not appear on Irish census though there a few by this name on English Census.

just wondering could anyone make a connection of Dominico to the Pacelli's.

if not then the above might be of interest to other Marino's.

Related Topic which explains where the Pacelli's lived in Scotland

My nana was Dominicos daughter, born in Edinburgh, brother Michael Jones Marino b. 1880 in Edinburgh, they moved to Dublin and ran a cafe opp' a Theatre in King St South. Nana married an English soldier in 1913 a few months after her father died. Her brother married Annie Scott in 1912 they had a son Ronald he married Sarah Ann Bishop in 1953, had 3 sons l would like to trace, n address l had was 15 Parkview Av Dublin, it was a family home for years, l would like their history. Evidently Dominico and his 3 brothers came from Marsicovetere, ltaly. My Nana never mentioned her brother Michael and we thought he had died, but all along he was in Dublin, hope you can help

Hi Christine and welcome to RootsChat.
There is very little else i could tell you about this family as it's all too recent.
The only member of the family i can pick up any thing on is Michael's wife Annie Belvina Marino
1916 compensation claim for looting by the rebels from her shop at 18 Arran Quay.
http://centenaries.nationalarchives.ie/reels/plic/PLIC_1_5823.pdf

another thing i picked up on was her solicitor/executor? seeking information to know if any one knew of a previous will made about 1964 as she died 1981.

Title    Annie Belvida Marino administration papers
Ref      2008/1/7390
Date    1987
Creator Probate Office
Scope and Content, address of deceased 15 Parkview Ave,Harold's Cross,Dublin
date of death 20/10/1981,date of Grant 15/10/1987
1 file transferred to the Probate office Aug 1987
search archives here
http://www.nationalarchives.ie/search-the-archives/
you may be able to get a copy of this which might give you names and addresses.

I checked out that birth of Francis Marino born 1907 in Dublin strangely his father was also Michael Marino and mother Mary Fulham
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1907/01700/1674390.pdf
might be worth checking out

P S sorry about the late reply i only look at my email notifications once a week.

Just found this a Sarah Marino died 2011 age 88 in Dublin 6 (Rathmines Area) her death appears on the Glasnevin index, she could be buried in any of 3 cemeteries,Glasnevin Palmerstown or Newlands Cross.
The Glasnevin Trust staff are usually very helpful a phone call might yield some name for who buried her and an address or you can purchase a grave read out for 3euro
http://www.glasnevintrust.ie/genealogy/results/index.xml

cancel that here's her death notice
http://notices.irishtimes.com/death/marino-sarah-ann/9575861

i am not a member of Facebook but fiddling on the internet i came across a name same as one of the grandchildren on there.

Christine if you read my first posting on this topic you will see the name Marino included in my Wife's ancestors the Pacelli's from Marsicovetere i was trying to find out if they were perhaps related somewhere along the line as both were from the same region.
