Where can I find the Duagh Tithe Applotment records?
« on: Friday 18 September 15 00:49 BST (UK) »
I've had a bit of success tracing my Irish ancestors recently but have run into another roadblock.

I know that the Guerin (or Geran) family lived in Derrindaff town land, Duagh, and have been searching online for the tithe applotment books, but have had mixed success.

I can't find Duagh on either the Familysearch or the the National Archives of Ireland Tithe Applotment books (though there seems to be a Duagh townland listed in Listowel).

At the same time, Ancestry has provided Connor and Patrick Guerin in Carragh town land, Duagh in 1824. This is an index only record, and it seems to refer back to the National archives and the LDS, but I cannot race the original image.

Another concern, is that I can't find any reference anywhere to a town land named Carragh in Duagh, and I know from parish records that both Guerins were in Derrindaff (Dirrindav) in that same year.

Can anyone help me track the records down online?

See here:

"For some strange reason, the Civil Parish of Duagh is not included in the National Archives of Ireland Tithe Applotment listing."

It goes on to say that someone has reproduced the Duagh records and that they have access and will do lookups - email contact details provided.
