Family of John Swanson from Thurso and Aberdeen
« on: Friday 18 September 15 05:59 BST (UK) »
Hi All,
I'm researching the family of John Swanson (b. Aberdeen 1859-d. Thurso 1915). One of his sons, Hugh (1899-1967) immigrated to Australia in the late 1920's, but I've drawn a blank on the fate of his other children who may or may not have remained in Thurso.

I am planning to travel to Thurso in mid October and if anyone has any leads they could share that I could follow up I would be very grateful.

Here is a list of what information I have  and I would also be very interested to hear from anyone who shares links with this family

I am the granddaughter of John Swanson of Thurso, Scotland. I had met Hugh Swanson when he had visited Canada and did call him when I was going to visit the UK. (1989) I wanted to meet up with his son which is my cousin who I have never meet, but he was no longer there as he had returned to Australia. I was never able to fund Hugh as he asked me for something to do with him being part of the aviation museum, which I do have and wanted to send it to him. Please contact me.
