The minister suggested that the ring go to the eldest son; this is my Uncle Jim who has lived in Australia for a long, long time.  I phoned him and his wife this morning - they're thrilled to bits.  Their only son had my granny's wedding ring combined into his new wedding ring, so it's all about the family rings for them. Couldn't be happier, me  :) :)

I'm so excited for you!! - Is that weird as I don't even know you, but I'm so excited for you!!

Please post the link to the article in the paper when it gets published.
I'm in Aus and do not read British papers on a regular basis. Will it go to press here in Aus too? ( I don't  tend to read the papers here either on a regular basis)

It's  amazing, I love things like this - you lucky, lucky person!!!

Kind regards :)

I spoke to another aunt here in Scotland this evening to let her know too; we had a long chat and I got some more info and stories from her to add in to the mix  :).  Still got another two aunts to tell, so more info should be forthcoming

How wonderful.
I can imagine just how thrilled you and your sister feel.
It must have been time for it to be found! :)
