Hi All.

A William Mansell married Patience Attwood 2/11/1865 Bishops Cleeve.

Oh that's brilliant I went to Gloucester Records about 2 years ago and got the marriage but for some reason never got the details.
My William's father is Richard and he married Drusilla Turbefield 29/3/1846 Bishops Cleeve  they had children John(1846),James(1848),George(1850) I have all the details of the marriage. There is a death for a William in 1861 Winchcombe so I didnt know if that was my William because Patience in 1871 and 1891 husband William was born Brockhampton in 1881 Woodmancote and their children are William(1866),Elizabeth(1870) and James(1871).The ages could all be okay not to clash with his first marriage.Although I have never followed up what happened to these three children.

So I am not certain its the same William because my William was born and Bapt.in Winchcombe
but just noticed in 1841 was living in Southam with a Brown family.

Interestingly an Ann Brown was a witness at the marriage. May have been part of the 1841 family.

Thank You Pennines for that Burial I knew she died in 1853 but didn't have the burial.
I camped in a tent for a week when I went to the Records Office at Gloucester and in the end run out of time.

I can see there is Death for a William  1892 aged 79 reg. Winchcombe could well be him.

Alan,

I'm glad you got out of the tent!

If you have an Ancestry subscription --- the filmed Gloucestershire Parish records are now included on that site. They are searchable.
If not, and you want to browse them  - your local library will probably have free access providing you are a member (of the library).

Yes I go to the Warwick Records Office(5 mins away)Its just when I was working on the earliest part of my tree it wasn't on there and have just started looking at it today because I have designed a 7 generation pedigree chart 24" square and trying to fill in the outside boxes.
