« on: Monday 21 September 15 10:37 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I wonder if someone could help me , I have my great grandfathers lair no B794 in Tranent cemetary old part.

Is there a map available, i visited the cemetary but could not find the grave.

The name is David Hood , Catherine Hood , and Alexander Hood. all in one grave dates 1934 -1979

I live in the south and am only able to visit twice a year.

Thankyou .

Hi Lostribe

Just seen your post....

Why not contact the local council direct - www.eastlothian.gov.uk/info/640/birth_death_marriage_and_civil_partnerships/193/burial_services/2

They should give you guidance on where the lair is located hopefully. There may very well not be a gravestone (might explain why you had a problem last time you were there). But, at least, next time you are there, you will hopefully be able to pin point the spot where the lair is.

Monica  :)

ADDED: A bit of politics on the topic, sigh....but gives you an idea of what is available overall www.itspublicknowledge.info/ApplicationsandDecisions/Decisions/2015/201402586.aspx
