Is anyone researching the Plant family of Osmaston/Ashbourne, Derbyshire? I have got as far as William, who married a Sarah Yates, but have been unable to trace either of them any further back...

Have you checked the surname interest list ?  Go to bottom on page to find it

Marriage of William/Sarah has them both of Longford at the time of their Marriage;
(17 Nov 1772, St Chad, Lonford)

I presume you have these Burials;
SARAH Plant 26 Nov 1824 Osmaston by Ashbourn age 74 (birth c 1750)
WM Plant 1 March 1832 Osmaston by Ashbourn age 80 (birth c 1752)

Hi Trish :)! Very many thanks for your reply. I have William and Sarahīs marriage but not their burial dates, so am very grateful for that information. Havenīt worked on my tree for an age and have just come back to it, so will be looking in the Longford area for any possible births. Remember looking on several sites before without success but might be luckier this time. Thanks again.
