Stumped!    trying to find death of Janet Haig Mitchell born 20 Sep 1875, St Boswells, Roxburgh to James Mitchell and Margaret Muir.    She married a Charles Edward Bass in 1906 in Dirlton, Midlothian, but can find no trace of her after this.    She had a daughter Mary Margaret Paterson Mitchell in 1904 (no father recorded on BC)     This dau was adopted by Janets cousin Alexander Paterson.    Found her in 1881 census  but no further

Ev you are a star!   They were married on 8 Aug 1906 and went to Montreal on 11 Aug 1906.     I can now clear this line of enqiry
