That makes the Marriage 1849 not 1839 as stated earlier ???.

Where did you find that article, as I do have the Golden Wedding article also and the date on mine is 9th April 1889

I'm so pleased to know this eventually after having the money to purchase 1 of the childrens birth certificates.

Thing is, I still can't find any entries for her.

On the census she has down, from Tweedmouth. on the family gravestone she died in 1899 aged 79, making her d.o.b between 1819 and 1821 depending if she had a birthday before hand or not.

can anyone help with tracing anymore information about her please  :)

There is another Eleanor Hope born Tweedmouth around the same time it seems. Just adding for this 1851 census entry elimination and perhaps extended family?
