Would anyone be able to check the baptism records of William Thomas Acott born in either West Malling or Mereworth in 1876.

Hi I cannot locate a baptism either, is he in 1881 the Thomas W Acott aged 5 b West Malling with parents Thomas & Catherine at Kent Street Cottage, Mereworth, Malling?

HI again now I see your problem, in 1891 Thomas W is William aged 15 shown as Grandson to Thomas & Katherine Residing Kent Street

EDIT realistically he appears to be illegitimate, son of Elizabeth C 1858 or Rebecca 1861?

Hi Carol, be careful which one you order as their are two Thomas William Acott's

June 1875 Malling 2a 519
March 1876 Malling 2a 565
The other Thomas W has parents George & Ann and married as Thomas William b East Peckham,  so stipulate you require the one without parents George & Ann.

EDIT His possible/probable mother Elizabeth Catherine Acott baptised 22nd November 1857 Mereworth Father Thomas Mother Catherine looks to have married as Catherine Elizabeth Acott Sept qtr 1879 Malling to a Miles Latter

Hi again all, I can see Rebecca (transcribed as Scott on my site)  aged 20 b Mereworth occ General Servant with a George & Elizabeth Paine in St Leonard, Kent in 1881

What happened to her from this census    she is not the Rebecca married to a William Atkins in Cardiff?
