Has anyone managed to find Gaff's Land on any maps? I had a dig around earlier on NLS and other maps, but could find no mention of it in Redding or surrounds.

Malky and others have much more experience than I do with Scottish research, but I have seen "X Land" as addresses in Scotland. If I remember correctly I also found some named on maps.

Regarding your finds Malky, presumably a lot of people lived on Gaff's Land?  :)

Owned b Robert Gaff, managed by James Stewart & Son's (factors), you won't find it on any map it is in Polmont it is not a farm.

You can see it in the 1925 Valuations look for Helen Forrest, Grangemouth Parish.

Its actually quite small, a public place (Inn), a couple of houses and a shop only 4-5 residents.
