Would anyone like to give an opinion as to whether this is a 20s or 30s image please. Don't you just love this ragamuffin bunch  ;D ;D
Thanks for looking.

I have a photo of my mum wearing a hat quite similar to one of these little goofs :D So I would say around 1930 but of course the clothing may have been handed down for some time. 1930s then?

Fabulous photo, isn't it? I love it!

Cheers,

Lovely photo Mgeneas....Thanks for posting....good comparison....but a bit better dressed than my urchins...I  think mine is an impromptu street photo..whereas yours appears to be a school group.

I remember my Uncle saying that in the 1920s... his attendance at school depended on whose turn it was to wear the boots...he was the eldest of nine children  ;D ;D ;D

I have a photo of my dad in a very similar photo, aged about 5 so it would have been around 1927. My aunt was in the same photo. It's a school photo but no uniforms, they all look as if they've been dressed by the rag 'n bone man (now that dates me!)

Just noticed the name of your photo...why was it known as  "The Tin School"?
