George Hamley death

 Hi, I'm searching for the death of George Hamley born about 1756 probably in Tavistock, Devon where he was married and children were born. His wife Ann (nee Rundall/Rundell/Rundle) died in Clifton, Bristol 6 Feb 1847 "widow of George Hamley, Accountant". I've had no luck with Bristol searches (including Rootschat) nor Tavistcock or anywhere else in Devon. 2 are indexed for Tavistock and neither are the correct person. Some descendants moved to Taunton where his son George (customs officer) died in 1867.
 I would really appreciate any help in locating his death (& his birth). He was a Non-Conformist. Thank you.

I think I'll have to get the cert. As his wife died in 1847 "widow of George Hamley" which is why I discounted it.
