Hi Alan,

Just in case it helps in the search, can you tell us where you got this name from, and an approximate date?

I can't find an address for Holmoor House but all references to it seem to relate to elderly people dying there. I found a reference to a "Master" and "Mistress" of Holmoor House, but it's still not clear exactly what it was - I don't know if there would have been such a thing as an 'old person's home' in that era?  :-\

I found a reference to the workhouse address as 9 Trinity Terrace Taunton.
I found a reference to Holmoor House Trinity.
(though I don't know if they are one and the same)

Trinity Hospital appears to have started life as the workhouse:

(no mention of it ever being called Holmoor House) I wonder if Holmoor House was related to the workhouse, perhaps an offshoot of some sort. If Holmoor House was also on Trinity Terrace there may be a connection to the workhouse/hospital.  :-\

Thank you , I have been puzzled too . I even looked on Royal Mail addresses to see if it exists today but no joy . Hopefully some Taunton people may remember it and write in . I am not sure when the workhouse closed there but worth investigating .

It might be worth adding "Taunton" to your subject heading to attract anyone with local knowledge.

Thanks , I will do that . There does not seem to be much online about Kibbear either , on the death cert it states she was from Kibbear , Pitminster ? and the informant Kibbear Trull . More work to do on it .
Regards
Alan
