Thank you everyone , I think she may have been admitted at a time when they had got Holmoor House  a bit more organised as a hospital in 1951 , maybe towards the end of its life too .

Just found this post when googling for information about Public Assistance Inst Holmoor House , Taunton M.B., Somerset, England which was the address given for someone on the 1939 register.

I then found that "The Workhouse became Taunton Poor Law Institution from c 1912 , and then from 1930-1948 was Taunton Public Assistance Institution and from the take over by the NHS in 1948 became Trinity Hospital."
