« on: Wednesday 07 October 15 13:45 BST (UK) »
Hello there. I am  looking for any info on Eliza Northam b 1880 reg Sherborne. Daughter of Edwin Northam b 1856 Sherborne and Elizabeth b 1854 Sandford Orcas. Eliza  is in the 1901 Census living with parents and siblings. Cannot trace anything after that.
Many thanks

Not the right Eliza. The Eliza that married George Saxby was the daughter of George and Ellen Northam .She was born in Castle Cary in 1881
Thanks anyway

Oops......  :-[

Have you looked for her in Scotland or perhaps emigrating?

Have you checked out Eliza's siblings to see which have survived to 1911 and matched that with the number of children that her mother says have died by 1911? That would establish whether she was still around somewhere in 1911.

I've looked at passenger lists on FindMyPast and no sign of her.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

If she was in service she could have travelled with the family.....Europe, Channel Islands, Ireland, etc.

Did she always use Eliza on census records?

Eliza was not on the 1911 census. Before that she was always reg.as Eliza. The 1911 census shows 9 children 2 of which are deceased. I will look into that area. Too time consuming at the moment. I must do some housework!!!!
Thanks
