Hi

My 3 x Great Grandfather Michael Cannon born Roscommon, the only information I have on him is his father was Patrick Cannon and was an Agricultural Labourer, Michael was born either 1825 or 1829 I would love to stretch my irish side of the tree, I found him on a census living in Lichfield UK his wife is Mary Manyon( as spelt on marriage cert) or Mannion her father was also Patrick she was born in Galway they married in 1859 Lichfield UK
Hope someone can help

Thanks

As the records are scarce for that time you have to be very careful that you have enough information to prove a connection once you find a record

There is one possibility that I can see
a baptism of a Michael Canon to Patrick and Ellenora Gannon on Jan 6th 1827 in Elphin - LINK
Address given is Tanseyfield

Mannion is a very common surname in Galway
and Mary and Patrick are very common given names
so without a parish to guide you, I am afraid you are clutching at straws
