Oh, beautiful 1890s back! Got lots of typical 1890s elements, the camera, art supplies and...oilcans? Odd  :) Very nice. So I would guess mid 1890s.

Thank you all!  It shows the value of reaching out to people who have developed some expertise rather than trying to fake it yourself!

Jim1...I have trolled photos of Royal marine and other military uniforms for hours without success.  If possible Nile campaign, would that be marines or other do you think?
