Thomas Joseph Tunney - New York and Florida

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help with a newspaper obituary for Thomas Joseph Tunney.  He died in Pinellas, Florida on 26th January 1952 but he lived in Manhattan, New York for much of his life.  His life is quite well documented as he was a well known member of the New York Police Department.  He was born in Ireland in October 1873.  He wrote a book called "Throttled" which was published in 1919 and has also inspired other authors.  I believe Warner Bros have purchased the film rights for Howard Blum's book, Dark Invasion.

There is one in the New York Times.  There is also a obituary in a Niagara Falls, NY newspaper on www.fultonhistory.com that reads almost the same.  If you do a search for the exact phrase "thomas j. tunney" on there, it should be the only result from Niagara Falls.

Thanks so much for your help.  What a fabulous resource.  I haven't found the Niagara Falls article yet because I seem to be getting many more results than I should be on the exact search.  No problem though, I am sure I will get there in the end.
