Thanks Romilly, I'm working on my late Mother-in-law's Family. I've got a family Bible which gives details of her Mother and her siblings and her Mothers parents. Her grandfather was Thomas Evans born 24 1 1865 according to the Bible. He married Mary Mayberry 24 5 1886 in Swansea. According to the Marriage Cert his father was Rees Evans - doesn't say deceased but I know from past experience that that means nothing! Cert gives Witnesses as Meredith Mayberry(Mary's father) and Mary Evans. Thomas had a brother,Rees, who married Mary Ann Stephens in 1892. I may have found the Brothers before their marriages but ages don't tie up exactly. In 1871

Hi Again Gwen,

How lucky you are to have a Family Bible as a reference point!

I wouldn't worry too much about ages on the Censuses not being exact, - I've found that with lots of the ancestors that I've been following as well. Those are the same Census entries that I found. I think you're right that obtaining one of the brother's Birth Certs would be the best way to progress further. Let us know how you get on.

Best Wishes, Romilly.
