I've never heard of it, but having Googled I think it might be this place:

https://www.google.co.uk/#q=%22garroch+Mill%22&start=10

Given that's Kelvinside I wonder whether the present day Garriochmill Road, in the same area, is the modern spelling?

Just had an e.mail from the Mitchell re. burial records for John Mitchell's wife Ann nee Oliphant.

They say all the burial records have now been digitized but not yet transferred to the Mitchell library or online but CSG have been given digital images, so I am now on a waiting list ( 8 / 10 weeks )
for CSG to do a search for me for a fee of £10.00. So fingers crossed.

They are so helpful I can't praise them enough.
