Bruce burials at Winwick
« on: Sunday 11 October 15 14:19 BST (UK) »
I've come across 2 burials in the 1790's with no age given so I'm hoping someone may be able to provide these.
They are      John Bruce buried 11/1/1793
                   Jane Bruce buried 19/3/1796
Also hoping there may be other Bruce burials at Winwick.
My 4xgt-grandfather was James Bruce who died at Offord Darcy in 1823 aged 67 & recently I've found a baptism of a James at Winwick on 3/6/1757 son of John & Jane so trying to tie these together.
Thanks

It's rare to find burial ages in parish registers before 1813. Pre 1813 you're lucky to find much detail at all - (infant) son of John and Jane perhaps, or widow of John.

Winwick transcript can be found on http://www.freereg.org.uk/

Which means there's no additional detail in the parish register.

Can add:
burial of John Bruce  1 Jan 1793 'a pauper'
burial of Jane Bruce 19 March 1796 'a pauper'
Which possibly means they were not children/infants

Thanks Captain 2 for the info.
I've found a Dennis Bruce buried at Gamlingay 10/8/1818 aged 36 which gives a birth of 1782 so could poss be another son born to John & Jane. This Dennis marries Lucy Cox 17/12/1799 at
Gt. Gransden & have children at Gamlingay.
