I have submitted McRobbie as an alternative name in Ancestry's records. This should help future searchers :)

Albertathon

The family are living in Auchnagorth parish of King Edward if you have Ancestry search for Elva  mcroble born 1815 Lonmay Aberdeenshire and you will find them

I have had a look at the entry for Upper Auchnagorth in James Godsman's book on the parish of King Edward. He must have got the Christian name wrong:

"In 1885, the tenants are William and James Duncan, who emigrated to the United States of America before 1890. Succeeding tenants are Thomas McRobbie, a native of Rathen, Robert and John Chapman, who retired to Wellington Farm, parish of Turriff."

I have also had a look at the monumental inscriptions for Rathen and there are no McRobbies listed there.

When did George McRobbie die? What is his wife's surname?
