trying to locate records in Kentucky

Hi i'm struggling trying to find any details for Ira William Thomason born 19 October 1886 White Sulphur, Scott County, Kentucky, his mother was Ann Elizabeth Thomason (Wort) and for theUK, I know his father (Ira Thomason) was deceased in 1891 when his mother was back in England. His mother was last recorded in 1871 in England at which point she was single, I can find no record of her marriage to Ira in England. I'm not sure of the best way to search for records in the USA any advice would be much appreciated.

This looks like the marriage for Ira William Thomason age 23 labourer father Ira Thomason deceased ( carter ) 19/2/1910 Aston Brook St Mary Warwickshire

Death for Ira William Thomas of Red Roof Bungalow Walton Pool Clent Worcestershire died 2 November 1960 probate Birmingham 20 June to Lily Thomason widow

You can find him in the later census in Aston so looks like he came home with his mother

Ira b 1887 USA grandson all in Warwickshire

Ira is recorded as William Thompson b Petney US age 4 with his grandparent's
Mother Ann E Thompson age 26 widow
