Whoa i didn't expect to see all this!! I must of missed his birth record on Ancestry, i have a world membership. What name was it under?

It is in the "UK and Ireland, Masters and Mates Certificates, 1850-1927" records. There are 4 of them. It's the one with Port of Issue: Greenock on the 3rd page.

I didn't spot that one. His first certificate had a different date if i remember correctly, the one on which he is named as Olof!

Have you seen the other 4 Master and Mates records for Oliver Anderson. They give addresses etc. The Olof record has a different DoB... 25 March 1844.
You will have to read all the pages as sometimes there are a few of them, even going backwards sometimes.

Ha.. Just read your post again. Yes they have different dates but this one was issued in London so probably not your man.
