Garnham family/Boston
« on: Wednesday 14 October 15 11:41 BST (UK) »
I have a marriage between Frances Annie White and Samuel Henry Garnham in Boston in 1902.  It gives the bride's father's name as Charles White (dec).  On the 1911 census it says both parties are born in Boston.  I can't find a birth for Frances Annie White in Boston.  She would have been born in 1882/3.  Can anyone help with this query?

A tree on ancestry suggests she was born in Sheffield, so perhaps this one:

Births September quarter 1881
Frances Annie White         Ecclesall B.    9c   314

She appears to be in Sheffield after 1911

Thank you for the suggestion.  This could be the case because the Garnham family did move to Sheffield after 1911.  If this is the right one, her mother married a John Sykes in 1888 in Sheffield, he died in 1890. They are on the 1891 census as Sykes, but I can't find them on the 1881 to find Frances' father.
Does anyone have access to Parish registers - all this is a bit risky for sending for certificates.

Hi have been looking in 1881 for you, but to possibly to get help from others this looks to be family in 1901:-

Sarah A Sykes 42 Widow b Helpenham? Lincolnshire
Alfred  White 24 Son by first husband b Sheffield
Charles White 21 Son by first husband b Sheffield
Frances White 19 b Sheffield ( No mention of daughter by first husband)
Alfred Timm 2 months Grandson b Sheffield

I think possibly Charles was a Charles H in 1891 in a Boys Home/School?
