William and Ada Mitchell of Walthamstow
« on: Tuesday 20 October 15 12:03 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I am attempting to locate the burial place of the above-mentioned couple.

William James Mitchell died in August of 1912 at Walthamstow and presumably is buried there as well.

His widow, Ada E Mitchell (nee Pitman) died in July of 1918, I believe also in Walthamstow and would be buried with him most likely.

Can anyone point me in the direction of who might know of where I can find this information?

I have no idea what church may be involved however they were married in a Congregational Chapel so maybe that is a place to start?

Cheers for any help,

Chris in Aus.

Walthamstow has two cemeteries managed by Waltham Forest Council, at the dates mentioned I would think they would be there. If you google in Cemeteries Waltham Forest council and send them an email, they may be able to help you

Hi again,

Jolee I just wanted to let you know that I have contacted the relevant council and they very kindly have provided just the information I wanted.  I say very kindly because usually there is a charge for searches like this (and/or you have to go in person yourself to do it) but the person I contacted actually did the search at no charge (I am in Australia) for me and found exactly what I needed.

So thank you Jolee for your excellent direction and thank you to the person who did the hard work for me :)

Cheers!!
