He must have emigrated to America as I have a death for William Martin 21/11/1886 Philadelphia age 56 b Scotland occupation Stone mason ..Address New Queen St Falls buried Leverington Cemetery buried 23 November 1886 - see the link below.

The son William Martin (26 May 1879 - 13 August 1961) was married to Charlotte Beatrice Ethel Jervis (1880 - 1979) Charlotte had been married previously to Charles Nuttall.  The 2 children listed with William and Beatrice on the 1925 Rhode Island Census were Nuttall children who used the surname Martin. In 1930 they had reverted back to the surname Nuttall.
