Above this house is also another family with the surname Small and it say's in the margin found camping in the wood

that must be them but I wodered who  wife Pricilla was before  she married ? I haven't seen this before

Was you're William married?

If Priscilla is his mother there is a possible death for her in Ashburton 1910 it also states for no fixed abode (Gypsy) age 45

Also there daughter has been transcribed as been 13 but i think its meant to be 3

I've searched and searched but can't pin down a possible for you, have you not tried to get Williams or his sister Sarah's birth certs?

no I haven't  will it be on there or pricillas death certificate  .I don't think a lot of people married back then  and just used partners name

Her maiden name should deffo be on the birth certs for her children, i have a ancestors death cert and it doesn't have her maiden name on so i wouldn't go down that avenue first
