This thread started with a request re Alexander C Lambert Esq yet I can see no reference to this person in Wicklow.

Later in this thread you say that you his name could be James 

Can you just clarify re the Christian name that you are working on ?!

I have found records of Alexander C. Lambert (of Mayo) which show a Dublin connection but nothing at all for Wicklow. Could you please give us the references for 'Mr Lambert of Wicklow' that you did find.

taramcdsmall - sorry for any confusion.  I'm pretty sure the person I'm looking for is Alexander.  But I simply can't be 100% sure, as the papers I've read, which reproduce six Lambert letters in six separate editions, simply refer to ''Mr Lambert, Wicklow.''  The only other reference to a male Lambert in Wicklow at that time mentions ''James'', but not in relation to the letters published.  I'm making my way through the Wicklow Newsletter methodically, so future references may reveal more information about the exact identity of ''Mr Lambert.''  I began this thread hoping some of your members might know him already, and save me a little time.  Cheers.

This is from Wexford but there are 3 Lamberts listed, a James but no Alexander.
Don't know if the Electoral division crosses into Wicklow but it's possible.
