George Henry Taylor
« on: Friday 23 October 15 17:23 BST (UK) »
I need help in finding more about the family of George Henry Taylor.  He was born in North Tawton, Devon in 1866, immigrated to Canada with his family (wife Ada and children Philip, May (Alice) and John).  I do know he initially settled in Crystal City, Manitoba, and then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  After Ada died he married Nellie and had two more children - Edith, born in 1911 and Gilbert, born in 1913.  Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, Sandra, your first post is the correct family.  The second post is very interesting.  I thought Nellie''s maiden name was Alexander, but this could be incorrect.  Thanks for your prompt reply!! I now have a new lead!

George Henry Taylor who married Nellie Alexander 6 September 1908 Gloucester was a bachelor of the parish Chalford, Gloucestershire  ???

The son Phillip George Taylor born 11 November 1895 Southend seems to be in Los Angeles California for the WW2 Draft. Phillip could be the P G Taylor who passed away 5 October 1959.
SSN issued California (Before 1951)

Philip George Taylor skated with the Ice Capades and managed the company for 5 years and at the time, I believe, lived in California.  His daughter Megan (George Henry's granddaughter) won the World Championships for figure skating in 1938 and 1939.  Philip apparently travelled the world and sought naturalization in the US.
