I am looking for information on the Watsons of Westertown. My own line passes through James Watson(1769-?) who married Janet Phimister in 1796 in Urquhart Parish. I have not been able to confirm Janet's parents.

Hi Ken,

It may be a good idea to post some extra info on their children as google searches will bring info. up for others who are not actually registered on rootschat.

Many people search specific names as opposed to just the surname & area.

I notice you have a lot on the net already.

Hi Ken,

Yes it would be really helpful if you could post some extra info.

My husband has a Phimister connection in his ancestry - it can be spelt lots of different ways.

It seems to have been a surname connected with Morayshire and there are lots of them.

Post more and I will see if there is a connection.
