I was in the middle of writing when work got busy so I lost the article I was looking at so from memory.
Fr. Kirwin PP was recommending grandmother Mrs Sweeney to care for children of late Michael Kelly, to Celbridge Union. Year was 1918.

Michael Kelly's army records are available on a paid site

He enlisted in Jan 1899 as 18 years and 3 months old
This implies he was born in c Nov 1880
His father was Michael; he had an older brother Daniel and a younger brother John

He married Mary Ann SWEENEY 11.07.1907 (conflicts slightly with civil record)
WItnesses John KELLY & Josephine HIGGINS

His children are as I've previously stated plus Peter b. Jun 27 1915
This ties in with Sinann's post "His wife had a baby about 3 weeks before he came home"

There is noted reference to the murder, his civil arrest and subsequent penal servitude sentence

Found another article.
It appears the two youngest children went to Anne Sweeney but an inspector found her house unsuitable and wanted to put them in the workhouse, the Union thought this was a bad idea (two expensive) and decided to increase the pay for fostering young children, as young children were no use to foster parents as they couldn't work.

His Marriage Certificate says he was married July 9th 1907 that he was a labourer. He lists his father as Peter Kelly also a Labourer. This doesn't match his war or prison records where he states his father is Michael/Michl Kelly.
I have found all the newspaper articles about the murder and the Celbridge Union.
I have also located the Census records for the Sweeneys.
I guess I am most interested in what has happened to all the children but I guess that will have to wait for the next census.

If his father was Peter rather than Michael there are births to Peter KELLY and Jane DOLAN/DOOLAN in Kilcock that could be his family

Daniel bap. Feb 08 1880
Michael bap. Nov 27 1881
Thomas bap. Dec 06 1884 d. possibly 1885 looking at civil records
Bridget Ann bap. Dec 16 1885
John bap. Jun 02 1888

Possibility for Peter and son John on 1901 census - LINK
Jane possibly died in 1891 - LINK

Also if reference to his father dying just before the murder is correct
Civil Death Record Peter KELLY Celbridge 1915 Q3 V2 P275 - LINK

Following up on the children with such common names could be difficult if they moved tp foster parents or an orphanage
One approach could be to hope if they married that their baptism records would show that
