Birth lookup for Walter holohan abt 1825

 Marriage certificate for Martin Farrell & Anastaia Holohan 3rd March 1851, St Patrick's Parish Kilkenny,address was BODALE.

 Parents listed only as surnames (Farrell & Holohan) & witnesses were John Dunne & Catherine Hanlon.

Also 2 of their childrens bapt certificates :

- John Farrell 4th Jan 1852 R/C, address Bamford.
 Sponsors were the same people that were witness to his parents marriage

-James bapt 3rd June 1853 address Bamford, sponsors were Walter Holohan & Judith Farrell.

I found a Walter Holohan d1888 in a newspaper same area Bodale he was born abt 1825.

Maybe Anastatia's brother?

I have hit a brick wall so maybe if i can find Walter's parents or any information they might help me find Anastasia's family.

Martin Farrell family -no age, no parents, cant find any information.

Any suggestions welcome.

That looks like Eliza Lahey to me and  (Witness) Mary Feehan?.

The townland is probably Grivine   (Grevine/Grovine)

                yes i see the difference now, above the marriage of Walter there is a Michael Farney and below there is a Richard Fleming so i can see the difference between how the priest writes his F and L.
I had never come across Lahy in my research before but as you say it might be Leahy.

I'll try and shed a little light on your question. The address BODALE refers to the townsland of Bodalmore in Kilkenny (subdivided into upper & lower). Bamford is an adjoining townsland as is Grevine (now called Grovine[east & west]). There were many Leahys in Grovine up untill a few years ago when the last of that family died out. The Holohans are farmers in Bodalmore. My great grandmother was Anastasia Holohan born abt. 1850's-1860's. Not the same Anastasia you are reffering to but no doubt a relative.
I have lived in the area all my life and my family have farmed here for over two hundred years.
You could try Danesfort parish for further info. on Walter. The records are not complete for baptisms in the nineteenth century so you may hit a dead end.
