Can someone please post a functioning link to the government department that has historical BDM records. Have been there before but am stumped if I can persuade Google to take me there again.

Thanks Sami . Her death aged 0 is showing up in 1890. Loomks like they did not register her birth ( or have time to)

...perhaps she was baptised though, or shows up in some other record.

For interests sake what was her name?

Grace Violet Hampson. aka Violet Hampson. My grandfather George Albert Hampson  was born there as well. Violet gets a mention on her parents tombstone here in NZ. William Spencer Hampson and wife Emma LOUISA née Heywood.

I see it gives her age as 4 1/2 months.

Thanks Sami. Weird that they did not register her birth in 4 and a half months. The other 7 siblings were registered and as it says length of illness was only 1 day.

It does seem odd - makes me wonder if she was born outside of BC, so her birth would be registered elsewhere.
