Sarah Irene Warrell BOYES nee PINKSTONE
« on: Saturday 31 October 15 00:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am new to this forum. I will not always be near a computer, so apologies in advance if I do not get back to you straight away. I am trying to locate my grandmother, as above. She was born in 1889 to Thomas and Amelia PINKSTONE. In 1904 she married Burton OR Bertram Reginald BOYES. She left the family home and disappeared without a trace. I would like to know what happened to her and when and where she died. My mother was Nona BOYES. She always wondered about what had happened to her mother. Sarah was a good pianist and every time she heard a piano she tried to find out if it was her mother playing. The only other information we have is that she had one leg shorter than the other. Regards Lesley

Mrs. Irene Warrell Boyes, who left Macksville, N.S.W. about 18 years ago, believed

This suggests Irene passed away in 1957, at age 72.

I just found a death recorded on NSMBDM for Irene BOYES in 1951 - father's name was "34 years ....."

I must be going nuts as now that record is missing  ???

This suggests Irene passed away in 1957, at age 72.

Interestingly one of the records on "myheritage" have the incorrect year of birth - possibly the year of death has not been verified either

She would have only been 15 years old at marriage?

Was she born 1884 or 1889?

Found that record I'd lost  ;D

Ref: 15577/1951   BOYES   Irene

Father's Name: 34 Yrs Sydney
District: Sydney

Have no idea if it could be the lady you're looking for but possibly TROVE may have something reported in 1951.

I think it would be obvious if a woman was 34 years or in her 60's.

She may not have died with the surname BOYES.

This Irene born c1890
200/1957
JOHNSON Irene  67 years  Darlinghurst
District Sydney

Obviously there was contact around 1948 if her daughter, Mrs PERCY knew Irene was holidaying at Murwillumbah .
