Hi,

There is another "Heneglwys" birth for John Hughes, the son of John Hughes and a Margaret Jones on 27 June 1854. From what I can see it looks like he was their only child.

Hi,

Fathers occupation not shown - when I said "their only child" I meant to say John was the only birth I could find in Anglesey. However it looks like other children were born in Caernarvonshire as Dragon T has identified the family in 1861.

Looks promising.

The Marriage certificate I have is from the John Hughes age 7 in 1871 census extract, which you have sent. Not my family.! Now have to search for another marriage - John Hughes stone mason  and Sarah Jones before 1877.   Their first child born in Bangor 1877.

Alan  where did you find the baptism of John Hughes 27 June 1854?  it looks as if it might fit.
